MV Agusta has finally revealed official pictures and specifications for the 2014 MV Agusta F3 800, the 798cc version of the MV Agusta F3 675 supersport. The new 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 comes with similar styling to the F3 675 but offers a bigger displacement engine, slipper clutch, a new final drive ratio, upgraded suspension as well as monobloc calipers.
Based on the F3 675, the 2014 F3 800 has an identical curb weight (173 Kg/ 381.4 pounds) as the F3 675’s and its three-cylinder engine also has the same 79mm bore but with a 8.4 mm longer stroke (from 45.9 mm to 54.3 mm), as well as uses the same counter-rotating crankshaft design to reduce the rotational inertia effect and to improve the vehicle balance with the resulting ease of handling of the F3.
Fitted with a light and compact 798 cc three-cylinder engine, the MV Agusta F3 800 is more power, more torque, more adrenaline than the F3 675. The rev limiter has been increased to 13,500 rpm and the fuel injection has been revised for a higher flow rate. The 2014 F3 800 will produce around 148 Hp at 13,000 rpm and a peak torque value of 64.9 ft-lb. at 10,600 rpm (the F3 675, for comparison, has a total output of 108.6 hp at 12,500 rpm and 47.9 ft-lb. at 12,000 rpm. The F3 800 can reach a top speed of 269 km/h (167.1 mph).
The 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 also has brought the most advanced electronics ever seen to the F3 675, including MV Agusta’s Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS) electronics package with ride-by-wire throttle, three preset engine maps, four engine map settings – three factory presets and a user customizable fourth – and an eight-level traction control system that are easily selected using the handlebar controls and dashboard.
The MV Agusta F3 800 receives fully adjustable suspension, with inverted front forks from Marzocchi with 43 mm diameter legs and 125 mm of stroke and rear Sachs mono-shock absorber with a travel of 123 mm – it is fully adjustable for spring preload, compression and rebound. Futhermore, the F3 800 also gains monobloc four-piston Brembo calipers.
Standard tires fot the MV Agusta F3 800 include Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa (120/70-ZR17 on the front and 180/55-ZR17 on the rear).
The 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 will be available in three color options: Pearl white/black, Red/silver and Matt metallic black. In Europe the F3 800 will set you back 13,990 euros or US$18,282. No word on U.S. pricing and availability.
