Celebrating its 70th anniversary, Montesa, Honda‘s Spanish subsidiary, has introduced the all-new dual sport model called the 4Ride. The 4Ride is Montesa’s first non-trials model since the 1991 Montesa Evasion. The new off-road street-Legal trial bike is scheduled to arrive at European dealerships in February 2016, with a price estimated at around $8,050 (€7,500).
Like the Montesa Cota 4RT260 trials bike, the 2016 Montesa 4Ride is powered by the same 259cc liquid-cooled Single engine, mated to a 5-speed transmission, and has an identical frame to the 4RT260’s but offers a compact underseat compartment that can store a light jacket and gloves. Read more
Ducati has presented its new limited-edition Scrambler at the prestigious contemporary art exhibition “Art Basel” at the Setai Hotel in Miami. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has teamed up with Italia Independent, an eyewear and apparel Italian-based company to create the Limited-edition Scrambler inspired by cafè racers of the 1970s. The bike’s visual also got influenced from the Italia Independent’s “Land of Joy” theme of the collection of dedicated sunglasses that also debuted alongside the Scrambler.
Made in Bologna, with only 1,077 units of this bike will be built, each limited-edition Scrambler will carry a special logo on the fuel tank and its leather seat which features Night Copper stitching. There’s also an aluminium plate with laser etching of each unit’s serial number. Read more
Along with the 2016 Thruxton models, Triumph has also introduced the 2016 Triumph Bonneville range, staring the new T120, T120 Black and the Street Twin.
The 2016 Triumph Street Twin sports a 900cc parallel-twin engine that provides up to 59 lb-ft of torque at 3200 rpm, while both new T120 and T120 Black are powered by the same 1200cc twin engine as the Thruxton but with a slightly lower state of tune (77 lb-ft of torque at 3100rpm). All machines come equipped with a new chassis and suspension, individually designed to meet the character of each bike in the Bonnie line-up. Read more
