2015 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Models

The 2015 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Eldorado is one of two new versions of the California 1400 cruiser unveiled at EICMA 2014. The 2015 Eldorado is a tribute to one of the original Moto Guzzi California models – was called Eldorado also -, which was introduced to the U.S. in the late 1960s.

The 2015 Moto Guzzi California Eldorado sports the California 1400’s engine and chassis. This all-purpose cruiser has a low 28.5 inch seat height, and it sits on the 16-inch wheels shod with 130/90 and 180/65 white-sidewall tires up front and at the rear, respectively.

Its classic look combined perfectly with the California’s modern technology such as three ride modes, ride-by-wire throttle, latest generation traction control system (MGCT) , the polygonal headlight with LED daylight running light (DRL) and a multifunction full-matrix suspended display.

The other new version of the California 1400 is called the 2015 Moto Guzzi California Audace. The word “Audace” means bold in Italian.

As its name suggested, the 2015 Moto Guzzi California Audace features a blacked-out color scheme, a carbon front fender, the Euro four-approved megaphone exhausts, an oversized 200/6565-17 rear tire and round headlight.

The Audace has a lower seat than the California Custom and comes with the drag handlebar, as well as the footboards and rocker shifter were replaced with the footpegs and traditional “push-down/pull-up” shifter.

Along the Eldorado and Audace, Moto Guzzi also unveiled the 2015 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring SE and Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Concept at the 2014 EICMA.

The 2015 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring SE is based on the current California 1400 Touring. It adds a chromium grab handle, chromium-plated sealed fork tubes, a built-in passenger backrest, and a special two-tone graphic.

The Moto Guzzi MGX-21 bagger concept “is a surprising idea that opens up a new path to touring, the Moto Guzzi way”. It is fitted with a huge 21-inch front wheel and has a low fairing, two bags and carbon fiber body work with a bright red highlights.
