2014 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Custom and Touring Now Available in U.S

The all-new 2014 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Custom and Touring models are finally available in U.S for $14,990 and $17,990, respectively.

Both 2014 Guzzis are powered by a 1380cc 90-degree V-Twin engine, the largest twin cylinder design ever made by a European manufacturer, with a bore of 104mm and a short stroke of 81.2mm. The engine with a six-speed transmissions delivers 95.2 hp at 6500 rpm and 88.5 ft-lb. at just 2750 rpm, and is housed in the frame using an elastic-kinetic support system to reduce engine vibrations.

Both 2014 California 1400 Custom and Touring models come equipped with the triple level MGCT traction level control, cruise control, and ride-by-wire technology with three ride modes: Turismo (Touring), Veloce (Sport), and Pioggia ( rain mode). Other features include a poly-ellipsoid headlight with LED daytime running lights, dual LED taillights, and a 29.1-inch seat height.

For the braking system, there’s dual 320mm front discs with Brembo radial-mount four-piston calipers and a 280mm rear disc with Brembo two-piston caliper. Both all-new Moto Guzzi models come standard with ABS.

Priced at $14,990, the California 1400 Custom is available in Basalt Black or Mercury Gray. Meanwhile, $17,990 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring which is offered in Ambassador Black or Eldorado White adds a leather two-tone saddle, chrome lined fog lamps, a patrol style windshield, aerodynamic protection, 35-liter panniers and engine guards.
