Yamaha has revealed another variant of its MT-09 (known as the FZ-09 in North America), called the 2014 Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker. The MT-09 Street Tracker joins the original model and the Street Rally version, which was first introduced last year.
Based on the Yamaha MT-09, the 2014 Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker is powered by the same 850cc Triple engine that delivers 113.5 hp at 10,000 rpm and 64.5 ft-lb. at 8500 rpm. However, the engine on the Street Tracker comes with a bronze-colored cylinder head.
“The Dark Side of the track”, the 2014 Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker is distinguished by beautifully crafted aluminium number plates, two-tone “Alcantara-look” flat seat, new knee grips and wider footrests, carbon front fender with aluminum stays, a billet handlebar tensioner, matte bronze wheels, a matte black frame, as well as a unique matte finish to the bodywork.
Suspension and braking systems remain unchaged. An Akrapovic exhaust system is available as an optional extra.
The 2014 Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker will be available in Yamaha showrooms starting from late August.
As quick refresh, here’s take a look the 2014 Yamaha MT-09 Street Rally version endorsed by “the Doctor” Valentino Rossi.
