Kawasaki has revealed the 2016 model year of the Vulcan S, along with new special edition and cafe variants at the AIMExpo in the United States.
For 2016, the 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan S remains unchanged though the mechanical with power coming from the same 649cc parallel twin-cylinder engine providing 61hp at 7,500 rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,600 rpm, but comes equipped with an Ergo-Fit options, a range of accessories, that offer several options to tailor the bike to meet individual ergonomics preferences including the foot control positions, an adjustable handlebar position, and so on, and it’s free of charge.
Powered with the same engine as the base model, the new 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan S Cafe and SE variants feature a special paint job. The Vulcan S SE gets a new two-tone Metallic Imperial Blue and Metallic Spark Black with matching blue pin stripes on the wheels, while the 2016 Vulcan S Cafe gets a Matte Carbon Gray color scheme with a Candy Lime Green accents running down the middle of the bike.
The Cafe variant also receives a dark-tinted wind deflector mounted over the headlight. It is also available as an option for regular Vulcan S models for $349.95 plus $219.95 for the mounting bracket.
ABS is standard on the SE and Cafe variants, and is available as an option on the base model.
The 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan S SE ABS is priced at $7,399 in the United States, and the Cafe ABS model will be available for $7,999, a $600 more expensive than the regular Vulcan S ABS.
