The 2014 Aprilia SR Motard 50 supermoto-inspired scooter is now available in the US with a price of $1999. This 50cc scooter comes with aggressive, minimalist and compact styling.
The 2014 Aprilia SR Motard 50 is now fitted with a 50cc 4-stroke engine instead of a 49cc 2-stroke engine found in the SR 50 and features a continuously-variable transmission. The new four-stroke single engine delivers 4,6 hp at 9500 rpm and 2,8 ft-lb. at 8000 rpm, and has a fuel economy of 144 mpg.
For suspension, the practical, affordable and reliable scooter uses a telescopic fork at front with a 76mm stroke and a preload-adjustable rear shock which offers 86mm of travel. Meanwhile, braking prosess is provided by a powerful 220mm front brake disc.
Visually, the 2014 SR Motard 50 features minimalist motard styling and sits on mid-size 14-inch wheels. Its two-tone seat is comfortable yet catchy with its color-coded red fabric and sporty white stitching. Underseat, there’s a large helmet-compartment for a single flip-up helmet.
