Aprilia USA has announced that the 2014 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 is now available at Aprilia dealerships across US and now with the addition of ABS as standard equipment. It is available in two color options: Fluo Red and Matte White, each is priced at $9,999.
The 2014 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 uses the latest generation dual-channel Continental ABS system which provides maximum active safety on the bike. According to Aprilia, the system monitors the wheel speed in real time and specific calibration for “fun” use as well as manages the front andrear brakes independently, means that the rider can fully exploit the power of the brakes and the grip of the tires with high confidence even on difficult road surfaces. The Dorsosduro 750’s front brakes feature 4-piston radial calipers and dual wave-cut 320mm discs, while the rear brakes incorporate a single-piston caliper with a 240mm rear brake disc.
The 2014 Dorsoduro 750 is powered by a 749.9cc 90-degree V-Twin engine with four-valve heads, double overhead cam and liquid cooling. It generates 90.2 hp at 8750 rpm and 60.8 ft-lb. of torque at 4500 rpm. The light, agile and powerful Dorsoduro 750 also features tri-Map second generation ride-by-wire technology (Sport, Touring and Rain), mixed gear and chain timing drive, and electronic fuel injection with the latest generation injectors.
The new Dorsoduro comes with modular steel trellis, aluminium alloy frame and aluminium alloy swingarm with laterally offset monoshock. The suspension includes a fully-adjustable 43 mm upside-down fork with anodized yokes and a laterally-offset cantilevered mono rear shock with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. Both front and rear suspension have a wheel travel of 160mm.
The 2014 Suzuki Dorsoduro 750 ABS manages 124 miles on a tank of fuel (3.2-gallons). Other features include hand guards and an easy-to-read analog tachometer with a brightness-adjustable digital display.
