Aprilia has revealed the 2014 model year of its V4R streetfighter. The 2014 Aprilia Tuono V4R gets new styling, performance upgrades, ABS and larger full tank, making it become a truly formidable supernaked streetfighter.
The 2014 Aprilia Tuono V4R’s engine is the same as in the Aprilia RSV4 (65-degree 1,000cc V4), but has been updated to reduce internal friction as well as improving sump ventilation. The 2014 Aprilia Tuono V4R gets revised timing system, 20-mm longer fixed intake ducts, crankshaft flywheel with increased inertia, redesigned exhaust muffler and single adjustment per fork leg (Comp & Re-bound). The Aprilia Tuono V4R now boasts 170hp while maximum power has been dropped to 11,500 rpm, and 82.2 ft-lb. at 9500 rpm of torque.
Moreover, the 2014 Aprilia Tuono V4R also receives a softer rider seat for additional comfort, new fork and shock absorber settings, a larger full tank (4.9 gallons, a 0.4-gallon increase from the previous one) as well as new adjustable multi-map ABS, new Brembo M432 monoblock radial front calipers and can be equipped with the impressive APRC electronics package.
The APRC electronics package incorporates traction control, launch control, wheelie control, and quick-shifter. For 2014, the already impressive APRC electronics package has been further refined, with the software has been updated and the wheelie control system has also been recalibrated.
The 2014 Aprilia Tuono V4R ABS is available in two color options: black or white. Aprilia Multimedia Platform available as an accessory.
