2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR and Aprilia RSV4 RF

The Aprilia RSV4 RF and Aprilia RSV4 RR have been updated for 2015, with improved performance and more “race” look.

Like the current model, the 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR is still powered by the 65-degree V4 engine with 999cc displacement. However, power output of the V4 engine goes up by 16 hp, taking the total output to a 201 hp at 13,000 rpm and also has more torque of 85 pound-feet at 10,500 rpm. This because the engine is 3.3-pounds lighter than the previous generation, thanks to a new airbox, new upper injectors, titanium valves with new valve springs, redesigned heads and intake ducts. The camshaf was lightened by 500g, and the Plankl connecting rods have also been trimmed of 400g.

The 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR has a slightly longer swingarm in order to increase traction and reduce wheelies under acceleration, as well as features an improved suspension, and a new version of Aprilia’s aPRC technology package that is fitted as standard equipment. The aPRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) includes a quickshifter, wheelie control, traction control, launch control, and a Race ABS that can be disengaged.

Visually, the 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR gets new mirrors with built-in turn signals, a redesigned fairing and revised triple-headlight shape that now comes with an LED parking light.

Aprilia also offers the 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RF, which comes with ‘Superpole’ graphics and Aprilia’s Race Package (Ohlins suspensiona and forged aluminum wheels) as standard. Production of the 2015 RSV4 RF is limited to 500 units only.

The 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR will be available in two color options: Matte Bucine Grey and Matte Black Ascari.

Both the 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR and the 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RF will be available in the US in May 2015. No word on pricing.
