The Yamaha XJ6, Diversion (a semi-faired version) and Diversion F (the fully-faired version) which were first introduced in Europe in 2009 finally have been updated for the 2013 model-year, for the European market.
The 2013 Model Year of the Yamaha XJ6 only minor update, including new side panels, a tweaked front cowl, new-shape passenger grab bars, new look pillion grab handles at the back of the bike, new skin on seat cover, updated instrument cluster with LED backlighting, chain adjuster internal position indicator, as well as clear turn signal lenses and black accents on fuel tank cap.
There are no mechanical changes to the 2013 Yamaha XJ6, so the bike is still powered by a liquid-cooled fuel-injected 600cc inline-four engine with FZ6’s bore and stroke. According to Yamaha, the engine can produce 76 hp at 10,000 rpm and 44 ft-lb. at 8500 rpm, and has a decent top speed of just over 210km/h. The Bike can also be had with optional ABS.
The 2013 Yamaha XJ6, the Diversion, and the Diversion F without ABS weighs 452 pounds, 465 pounds and 478 pounds, respectively.
The 2013 Yamaha XJ6 will be offered in two colors: Competition White or Midnight Black. While the Diversion and Diversion F will only be offered in Competition White.
