Yamaha has unveiled its 2014 Yamaha Race Blu series, featuring the supersports Yamaha YZF-R1 and Yamaha YZF-R6, Yamaha Fazer8, Yamaha FZ8, the new three-cylinder MT-09 (known as the Yamaha FZ-09 in the US), as well as Yamaha XJ6 Diversion F, Yamaha XJ6 and Yamaha XJ6 Diversion.
The limited edition motorcycles come with Race Blu color inspired by the livery of the factory YZR-M1 race bikes ridden by the Doctor Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo. Unfortunately, there’s no upgrades for the machines, although the Company explains that the 2014 models are inspired by the works MotoGP racers and “enhanced for 2014 with the addition of anodised components, such as the front forks on certain models as well as blue wheels.” A little bit disappointed but, i can’t lie that i’m in love with the new color scheme. For me, the 2014 Yamaha Race Blu series look more aggresive than the last year’s series.
Again, there’s a bad news for Yamaha fans in the USA, the 2014 Yamaha Race Blu series will only available in Europe. The MT-09 wasn’t showed up at the launch event but it is promised to be available in Europe in Race Blu version, which Yamaha says it will come in dark metallic grey with blue wheels.
