Kawasaki has unveiled the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R KRT Edition. While Kawasaki’s supersports racing bikes are limited to a 599cc version, the middleweight-class street bike sold in North America is powered by a 16-valve, long-stroke, DOHC 636cc four-cylinder engine, which is claimed to give significant advantage over its 600cc competition.
The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R KRT comes with three-mode KTRC traction control and Kawasaki Intelligent ABS (KIBS), selectable full and low engine power modes, plus a cassette-type six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Other features include a multi-function LCD instrument panel with an analog-type tachometer, Nissin monobloc radial-mount brake calipers, 310mm petal-type brake discs at the front, Showa big-piston front fork and bottom-link Uni-Trak rear suspension.
The 2016 Ninja ZX-6R will be available in a lime-green and black Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) color. The bike will hit US dealerships early next year, and will be priced at US$13K.
