MV Agusta has announced the 2012 MV Agusta F4 R Corsa Corta. This 2012 edition of the company’s F4 sportbike comes with the new F4 RR’s “Corsa Corta” engine.
With the MV’s revised 998cc inline-four that comes with radial valves, low-inertia crankshaft and super oversquare bore of 79mm and stroke ratio of 50.9mm, the engine produces 195 hp at 13,000 rpm and 82.6 ft-lb. at 9000 rpm. The front brakes utilize Brembo monobloc four-piston calipers with double 320mm discs while the rear brake uses a four-piston caliper with 210mm disc.
The engine is also fitted with titanium valve and the cylinder head. The new more efficient exhaust system produces all the right, loud noises.
Other features inlcude a cassette-type six-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, revised fuel-injection system and a revised traction control system that utilize a new algorithm and has two rider selectable engine maps, as well as the fully-adjustable 50mm Marzocchi USD forks and Sachs monoshock with nitrogen reservoir. The fully-adjustable rear shock uses a linkage system that allows the ride height to be adjusted
The 2012 MV Agusta F4 R will be available in a choice of red and gray or white and a darker medium gray colors. It priced at 18,800 Euros in Italy, but there’s no word on U.S. pricing and availability at the moment.
