Kawasaki has announced the 2012 model of the middleweight twins, the Kawasaki ER6f (badged the Ninja 650R in Australia) and Kawasaki ER-6n, ahead of the 2011 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan.
2012 ER6f is the company’s user-friendly middleweight sports-tourer, has new fairing and headlight design. The 2012 ER-6n now looks more stylish with new headlight assembly and sharper body work.
Both 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R/ER6f and ER-6n are based on the same underpinnings, come with the same chassis, but the 649cc parallel twin-cylinder engine delivering slightly more herbs than the 2011 model. ABS will also be offered on both models.
The seat height has been adjusted, features wider and thicker foam padding as well as new handlebars that have also been widened by 20mm. To keep vibrations down the bars and seat are rubber-mounted as well as the footpegs.
Other features include an analog tachometer situated above an LCD info-panel as well as the ignition which located at the fuel tank assembly. Fuel capacity of 4.2 gallons is up 0.1-gallon from last year, and battery size was decreased.
The 2012 Ninja 650R will available in Metallic Spark Black, Candy Lime Green or Passion Red.
