The 2015 BMW F800R has made its public appearance at the 2014 International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan, Italy. For 2015, the roadster receives revised styling and updated suspension, plus comes with higher output than its predecessor.
The 2015 BMW F800R is still powered by the same 798cc liquid-cooled four-valve twin-cylinder engine as the 2014 model but with output increasing to 90hp at 8,000 rpm (up from 87hp at 8,000 rpm), while peak torque remains 63 lb-ft at 5,800 rpm. Furhermore, the first and second gear ratios have been shortened.
Other enhancements include a 10mm-lower seat (previously 800 mm), radial front brake callipers, lighter wheels with dynamic design, rider foot pegs, new tapered aluminium handlebar, new body with an even more dynamic design (he fairing, radiator shields, front mudguard have been redesigned), symmetrical main headlight arrangement, and new suspension components featuring a pair of upside down forks. ABS is standard now.
Optional features include ASC (Automatic Stability Control), ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment), a tyre pressure sensor system, as well as the usual stuff like intelligent luggage solutions, on-board computer, main stand, touring pannier mountings, LED turn indicators and heated grips . The roadster can also be ordered in 47hp form.
The 2015 BMW F800R will be available in Light White, Racing Blue metallic matte/Black Satin, Racing Blue metallic matte/Light White or Light White/Black Silk Gloss.
