At the 2014 Intermot show last month, Kawasaki has also unveiled the 2015 model year of its 650cc-sports-touring, the Kawasaki Versys 650.
For 2015, the Kawasaki Versys 650 is powered by the dependable fuel-injected 649cc, parallel twin engine that is mated to a six-speed transmission. The engine gets a new single-piece exhaust system with header pipes that boosts high-RPM power. ECU settings also have been tweaked for better fuel efficiency.
Like the 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000, the 2015 Kawasaki Versys 650 gets numerous upgrades. The Versys 650 comes with more aggressive styling, new fairings, revised headlight configuration, a larger hand adjustable windscreen, a Z1000-styled LED taillight, a larger 5.5 gallon fuel tank, a reinforced subframe, new rubber engine mounts, new Showa front suspension with easy adjustment, new KYB rear shock with remote preload adjuster, and new passenger grips. Furthermore, for breaking system the 2015 Kawasaki Versys 650 is equipped with dual 300mm front discs with new twin-piston calipers and a larger 250mm rear disc (instead of 220mm) with a new rear caliper, plus ABS for the ABS model now is smaller than before.
In Europe, the 2015 Kawasaki Versys 650 will be available in Pearl Shining Yellow, Metallic Spark Black / Flat Ebony, Pearl Stardust White.
Kawasaki USA also has recently unveiled the 2015 model year of the Kawasaki Versys 650 LT and ABS. The LT version adds Kawasaki Quick Release hard saddlebags and hand guards. Both LT and ABS versions will be available in two colors: Candy Lime Green and Pearl Stardust White.
