KTM has finally revealed the first official photo of its new high-end machine, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure, ahead of its debut at INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany, on 30th September 2014. The KTM 1290 Super Adventure will join KTM’s Street range next year but it “will add a different dimension and choice for those who want the absolute pinnacle of luxury sport touring riding.”
The 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure is basically a premium version of the 1190 Adventure, but adds more power, more torque and an incredibly larger fuel capacity for long trip durations before the need to stop.
The full technical specifications haven’t been revealed yet, but the 2015 1290 Super Adventure will feature the pioneering Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC) system developed with Bosch, ABS and traction control, as well as to get “further absolutely unique electronically supported riding assistance equipment.”
