The 2014 Suzuki Gixxer 150 which was made its public debut at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 on 6 February can now be booked online through Suzuki Motorcycle India’s official website. It is expected to retail for arround Rs 75,000.
The 2014 Suzuki Gixxer 150 is a new entry-level bike powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine with carburetor fuel system, providing 13.94PS at 8000 rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to five-speed manual gearbox and comes with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) system that helps in improving the fuel efficiency.
For suspension, the 2014 Suzuki Gixxer 150 uses telescopic forks and single-shock suspension with an aluminium swing-arm at the front and rear, respectively.
The 2014 Suzuki Gixxer 150 is available in Candy Antares Red, Metallic Oort Gray, Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mirage White.
Besides India, Suzuki is rumored to be unveiling the 2014 Suzuki Gixxer 150 in Indonesia, where it will compete againts Honda’s Verza and Yamaha’s Vixion.
