Honda has introduced its new 160cc motorycle designed for young, urban riders called theĀ Honda CB Hornet 160R in India. The new model will replace the Honda CB Tiger in India.
No official details yet, but the Honda CB Hornet 160R will powered by the same engine as the Honda CB Unicorn 160. The later is powered a 162cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is mated to a five-speed gearbox, providing 14.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 14.61Nm of a maximum torque at 6,000rpm, and has a total output of around 90-95mph.
Visually, The Honda CB Hornet 160R takes its design inspiration from the CX-01 concept. It features muscular fuel tank, LCD Digital meter, new Wave Disc with Combi-Brake System (CBS), short tail with “X” shaped LED, 10-spoke alloys, wire Rare Tire, one piece seat, front mudguard in dual-tone shade, as well as sharp, edgy headlamp with plastic cladding on the sides.
The Honda CB Hornet 160R will compete in the premium 150cc segment against TVS Apache, Suzuki Gixxer, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Yamaha FZ.
The Honda CB Hornet 160R is scheduled to reach dealerships later this year. No word on price at the moment.
