Team Suzuki Ecstar today has uploaded a new video on youtube that shows the celebration of Suzuki’s 30th Anniversary of the GSX-R range of machinery at the German Grand Prix by debuting a special livery for its GSX-RR race machines.
As we can see from the Sachsenring MotoGP race in Germany, both Suzuki GSX-RR machines ridden by Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro sport a special livery in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the GSX-R range. The special graphics on the GSX-RRs are based on the iconic blue and white color scheme from the 1980s as used by former World 500cc Champion Kevin Schwantz. Suzuki America has unveiled a 2016 Commemorative Edition GSX-R1000 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last weekend.
The new model pays homage to the GSX-R750s introduced in 1986. It sports the same red-and-black color scheme as Yoshimura’s GSX-R750 race bike which he piloted at the Suzuka 8 Hour endurance races in the 1980s. In 1986, Kevin Schwantz also raced a GSX-R750 in the same red-and-black color scheme during his 1986 AMA Superbike campaign. Read more
Suzuki has unveiled the 2016 model year of its Off-Road Lineup, staring the Suzuki RM-Z250, RM-Z450 and RM85 motocrossers, the DR-Z125L dirtbike and the entry-level DR-Z70 youth model.
The 2016 Suzuki RM-Z250 gets major updates including a new frame, all-new KYB PSF2 suspension, new brakes and more-than eighty redesigned internal engine parts. Furthermore, the RM-Z250 now features Suzuki’s launch control platform called Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC), which was first was first introduced on the RM-Z450 in 2014. Read more
