Yamaha has just uploaded a video teaser on youtube that shows its new concept sport bike called the MT-09. According to the sources, the Yamaha MT-09 will be the first of five new models planned for launch this year.
Described as “a new kind of brutal animal, which is about to change the sport motorcycle world”, the Yamaha MT-09 features new chassis and a lightweight 850cc 3-cylinder engine which delivers plenty of torque and outstanding acceleration (115hp – 85 Nm). It is designed for riders who appreciate character and soul.
The Yamaha MT-09 is a new naked motard-style bike equipped with a compact aluminium chassis and upright riding position for maximum control, making it equally suitable for weekday urban riding and blasting on a Sunday morning.
Other highlights include monocross rear suspension with horizontal shock, YCC-T and D-MODE electronic control systems, asymmetric CF die-cast aluminium swingarm, slim and lightweight CF die-cast aluminium frame, all-new lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels, and so on.
The 2014 Yamaha MT-09 will be offered in Deep Armor, Blazing Orange, Matt Grey and Race Blue colors.
