At the Chicago International Motorcycle Show, along with revealing updated colors and pricing for the 2013 Honda NC700X, Honda has also introduced its two new streetbike series, called the 2014 Honda CTX700 and the 2014 Honda CTX700N.
Both Honda CTX700 and CTX700N are part of Company’s new family of CTX (Comfort, Technology, and eXperience) motorcycles, which aimed at younger, shorter riders. They are “focusing on class-leading comfort, easy-to-operate features and versatility.”.
The Honda CTX700 and CTX700N are powered by the same engine as the Honda NC700X model, the 670cc parallel-Twin engine that can be mated with an automatic Dual Clutch Transmission and ABS, as well as have the same laid-back riding position, and a glove box and a storage area under the tank.
The CTX700N is the naked version of the CTX series. It has a low seat height of 28.3 inches, flowing low-end and midrange torque, and its 670cc parallel-Twin engine is mated standard with a six-speed manual transmission. Also available the CTX700ND DCT/ABS model.
The CTX700N comes in Candy Red or Black, but the CTX700ND version will only be available in black.
The Honda CTX700 is the full fairing version that features an aerodynamic fairing and windscreen designed for longer trips. Like the CTX700N variant, the Honda CTX700 also comes with low seat height and center of gravity, as well as standard with a six-speed manual transmission. The CTX700 is also available with Dual Clutch Transmission and ABS, called the CTX700D.
The CTX700 can be had with Cool Candy Red or Pearl White, though those opting for the the CTX700D will come in Cool Candy Red.
Both versions of the Honda CTX700N and CTX700 will be available in this Spring 2013 for $6999 and $7799, respectively. DCT and ABS models add $1000 to the price.
