The 2015 Ninja H2, the newest beast from a member of Japan’s big four motorcycle manufacturers, Kawasaki. The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2 is the street-legal version of the 2015 Ninja H2R, and it is priced at just $25,000 compared to H2R at $64,000.
The 2015 Ninja H2 uses a similar supercharged 998cc engine as the H2R model but with camshafts, head gasket, and clutch.different. The intake and exhaust system also have been modified to meet noise emission regulations and is homologated for street use.
The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2 is powered by an inline-four, four-valve engine that features dual overhead cam design with a two-speed, centrifigual supercharger driven off the crankshaft by a HyVo chain, and a displacement of 998 cc coming from a 76 x 55mm bore x stroke. Furthermore, the engine uses planetary gears and spins up to approximately 130,000 rpm – with a 14,000-rpm redline -, providing up to 20.5 psi of boost pressure from its 69mm impeller.
At this time, Kawasaki has not revealed any power/torque figures for the bike, but it claims the supercharger produces an engine characterstic “similar to having a wide power band”. However, some sources say it has a total output of 207hp with ram air (197hp without it) at 11,000rpm and a torque of 98 foot-pounds at 10,500 rpm.
Like the H2R, the Ninja H2 receives same electronics package that includes Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS), Kawasaki Traction control (KTRC), Kawasaki Engine brake control (KEBC), Kawasaki launch control (KLCM), and an Ohlins electronic steering damper.
Visually, the 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2 looks almost identical to its track-only H2R brother. It adds aerodynamic mirrors and turn signals replacing the airfoils, and comes with a centrally mounted Cyclops LED.
Suspension includes a fully-adjustable KYB 43 mm inverted AOB front fork, a fully-adjustable KYB gas-charged dual-speed rear shock. Meanwhile braking duties handled by Brembo radial-mount, 4-piston calipers, 330mm discs up front, and Brembo 2-piston caliper with a 250mm disc at rear.
You want it? Go head. The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2 will be produced in small numbers only, available for a short time in select markets.
