The Piaggio MP3 500 is the Piaggio’s three-wheeled scooter which was first introduced in 2006. With more than 150,000 units having been sold since its first introduction, this year the Company has decided to bring this MP3 machine back as a 2015 model with a number of improvements inside and outside.
The 2015 Piaggio MP3 500 is powered by a new 500cc single-cylinder engine that features ride-by-wire throttle control, revised CVT settings and upgraded settings promising lower fuel consumption than the previous models. The 500cc three-wheeled scooter also receives anti-lock brakes and traction control. The engine is good for 40 hp and 45Nm of torque.
Visually, the 2015 Piaggio MP3 500 gets LED daytime running lights, height-adjustable windshield, 13-inch alloy wheels, an updated digital instrumentation, and its aesthetic side also has been revised with new bodywork accents and an updated two-up seat. Furthermore, its underseat storage now can hold 2 full-face helmets.
