Along with KTM 390 Duke news, there’re some rumors said that KTM with its partner Bajaj Autos – which owns 47% stake in KTM- are also working on a new small-displacement sportbike dubbed the KTM RC25. As its name suggest, the KTM RC25 a toned-down version of its flagship RC8 sportbike and will be powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine.
Like the Duke 125, 200 and 390, the KTM RC25 will be manufactured at Chakan facility near Pune, India, and it will be available in India next year.
“This smaller version of the RC8 super sports bike will be relevant in terms of pricing and performance for emerging markets like India,” Amit Nandi, vice-president of premium motorcycles for Bajaj Auto told Financial Chronicle.
In this segment, the KTM RC25 will compete Honda CBR250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
