A BMW Group Company, Husqvarna Motorcycles has released two new street motorcycles called the Nuda 900 and Nuda 900R. The first of a new generation of motorcycles, both models with the flair of Italian styling are the first to combine the history and race pedigree of Husqvarna with the technological innovations and engineering prowess of the BMW Group.
Developed as a crossover model between a supermoto and a naked bike, the Nuda is powered by 989cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine (based on F 800 R motor), delivering 105 horsepower and 100Nm of torque.
“The Nuda 900R’s suspension is designed to raise the bike’s centre of gravity compared to the Nuda 900, increasing ground clearance and improving the handling to deliver a thrilling and responsive ride.”
2012 Husqvarna Nuda 900 has lower ride height than the Nuda 900 R. The Nuda 900 R weighs less than 175kg thanks to the use of carbon fibre details and a lightweight sports exhaust system. Other features include 48mm Sachs front forks for a smoother feel, Fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock, Double-level seat and Brembo four-piston radial callipers.
Minimalist in design, the Nuda has sharp and angular bodywork. 2012 Husqvarna Nuda 900 comes in black color, while 2012 Husqvarna Nuda 900R shows the company’s distinctive red and white competition colors.
There’s no word on pricing at the moment. Both models are expected will be displayed at the upcoming EICMA Show in Milan this November.
