2013 Piaggio Fly 50

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Piagio has updated its 50cc Fly scooter, which is designed to bring out global appeal due to the fact that will be offered in markets around the world.

Visually, the 2013 Piaggio Fly 50 gets a longer black “tie” on its front shield and sleeker lighting, and its seat has been redesigned and rests at 29.9 inches, which is an inch lower than its predecessor. Furthermore, the new design seat of the 2013 Piaggio Fly 50 seat now hides a larger storage compartment which can fit two open-faced helmets, this was achieved as a result of repositioning the 1.8 gallon fuel tank from the tail to its new location under the footrest. In addition to creating extra storage space, the repositioned fuel tank also lowers the 2013 Piaggio Fly 50 centre of gravity.

The 2013 Piaggio Fly 50 comes equipped with a center stand that offers better stability, and a side stand with an ignition inhibitor which is very convenient for making short pit stops.

The 2013 Piaggio Fly 50 is powered by a 49.9cc single-cylinder four-valve single overhead camshaft four-stroke engine that produces 4.2 hp at 8250 rpm at the crank. The front brake of the new 2013 Piaggio Fly 50 uses a 220mm disc compared to the previous model’s 200mm disc, and the rear brake still utilizes a 140mm drum brake. Suspension is consist of a 32mm fork with 76mm of travel and a single rear shock with 73mm of travel.

The 2013 Piaggio Fly 50 will be available in Perla White, Ibis Red, Blue Midnight and Cosmo Black paint finishes.
