MV Agusta has launched the F3 800 Ago Limited Edition in order to pay homeage to former, 15-time World Champion Giacomo Agostini, a racer who represented the MV Agusta during the 1960s and 70s.
The 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 Ago is based on the standard version but it is lighter, thanks to its carbon-fiber mudguards and forged aluminum wheels, which help save nearly 5 lb. from the standard-model’s dry weight of 381 lb.
The F3 800 Ago is powered by the same 798cc inline three-cylinder engine that delivers 148 hp at 13,000 rpm (rev limiter set at 13,500 rpm) and 65 ft/lb of torque at 10,600 rpm. The limited-editon model also comes with a host of high-end electronics including an eight traction control settings, three preset power options, as well as MV Agusta’s Motor Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS) that includes a ride-by-wire throttle control system, Bosch 9MP anti-lock brakes with race mode and the RLM system, and a slipper clutch.
Visually, the 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 Ago is distinguished by a gold frame, the Tricolor paint job (red, white and green like Italian flag colors), a steering yoke plaque with certification number, and Agostini’s autograph on the fuel tank.
The production of the 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 Ago is limited to 300 units only. The F3 800 AGO limited edition will go on sale from the beginning of May 2014, with price is set at 23,990 Euros.
