Following the announcement of three new color options of its 2014 Ninja ZX-14R, Kawasaki is back again unveiling the Ohlins Edition of the 1,441cc ZX-14R.
The 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Ohlins Edition is distinguished by special Öhlins suspension, replacing the original model’s Showa components. The ZX-14R Ohlins Edition comes equipped with a new TTX rear shock with twin-tube construction which is designed to reduce weight as well as making it more compact. Not just that, Kawasaki also claims the new-installed TTX rear shock can improve the bike’s rear stability, feedback and bump absorption. There’s also a remote adjuster that allows the rider to easily tune the preload. The Öhlins fork is also available with preload adjustment.
Like the regular model, the ZX-14R Ohlins Edition is powered by the same 1,441cc inline-four, liquid cooled, DOHC, engine which delivers the most power of any current production sportbike in the world.
The 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Ohlins Edition also comes with a new seat and its tachometer and speedometer are surrounded by black rings instead of the regular Ninja ZX-14R’s stainless steel rings. The European-specs will also get other upgrades including a performance kit of Akrapovich slip-ons and a bubble screen.
The 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Ohlins Edition will come in green and black scheme or white and black scheme with green fins or white and black with gold wheels and gold flames. As quick reminder, the three new color options for the regular 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R inlcudes Golden Blazed Green and Metallic Spark Black, Flat Ebony and Ebony, and Candy Burnt Orange and Metallic Spark Black.
There’s no word on its pricing or availability.
