Team Mugen has unveiled the second generation version of its electric racebike which will compete in the 2013 Zero TT at the Isle of Man Mountain Course. The 2013 Mougen Shinden Ni will once again be ridden by TT star John McGuinness.

The new racebike is mechanically unchanged. The 2013 Mugen Shinden Ni has the same output of 121 hp and 162 ft-lb as the Shinden, though it could be faster since it is 44 pounds lighter than its predecessor (apparently all in battery weight). The Mugen Shinden Ni has a curb weight of 529 pounds.

Furthermore, the new electric racebike also receives some minor modifications including front fairing and revised tail section new vent openings for better aerodynamics.
