Unveiled at the Quail Motorsport Gathering, Carmel, California, the Lightning LS-218 boasts a liquid-cooled electric motor that can spin at up to 10,500rpm, providing more than 200 hp and 168 ft-lb of torque. It has a max range of 180 miles and a top speed of 218mph. The battery pack can be fully charged in 30 mins on quick charger.
The Lightning LS-218 is also equipped with a digital, fully programmable, Android-powered instrument panel, carbonfibre parts, Öhlins FGRT inverted front fork with fully adjustable spring preload, compression and rebound damping, Öhlins TTX36 rear shock, as well as 17-inch forged-magnesium Marchesini. This world’s fastest production motorcycle weighs 495 pounds.
