2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Kawasaki has revealed the specs details of its 2012 Ninja ZX-10R. Kawasaki’s flagship superbike, the Ninja ZX-10R now features Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC) and ABS (optional), that both “allow optimum wheelspin while enhancing rider control.”

Smaller, lighter and more powerful that its predecessor, the 2012 Ninja ZX-10R sports 998cc inline-four engine with chrome-molybdenum cams that enhance durability, single-shaft secondary balancer, lightweight radiator, intake and exhaust valves made of titanium, as well as dual-injector digital fuel injection with 47mm throttle bodies.

Based on actual Kawasaki MotoGP experience, the Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC) different from other traction control units. The S-KTRC is designed to maximize forward motion, it continuously monitors the ZX-10R’s wheel speed, throttle position, engine RPM and othe data, allowing racers to ride closer to the edge of traction.

“S-KTRC confirms conditions 200 times per second and governs ignition, which allows extremely quick response to changing conditions.”  It’s available in three different modes based on the rider’s needs.

2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is available in three different colors: Lime Green/Metallic Spark Black for $13,999/ $14,999(ABS), Passion Red/Metallic Spark Black for $13,999/ $14,999(ABS), and Metallic Flat Premium Gray/Metallic Spark Black / $13,999, $14,999(ABS).
