BMW Motorrad has revealed the 2012 BMW S1000RR. This new BMW motorcycle comes with significant upgrades over its predecessor including handling, supreme engine performance and high-speed stability as well as a resounding dynamic performance.

The revised model of BMW’s successful supersports bike delivering the highest level of sporting character and riding dynamics.

The 2012 BMW S1000RR weighs 204 kilos including 90% fuel (206.5kg, with Race ABS), it is powered by the same superior engine power of 142 kW (193 hp). The 2012 BMW S1000RR not only comes with BMW Motorrad Race ABS, but also Dynamic Traction Control system DTC, which both have been optimised for the perfect interaction. It also has new LCD engine speed display with five dimming levels that provides more functions such as can now show “Best lap in progress”, as well as “Speedwarning” which can inform the rider when he exceeds a particular speed.

This new supersports bike from BMW features new suspension and steering geometry for better handling, steering accuracy, and feedback. It has better air flow efficiency, redesigned instrument cluster, reduced twisting force and tighter twistgrip angle.

For the design, the 2012 BMW S1000RR’s tail section now has a considerably leaner look, and it features new fairing. The 2012 BMW S1000RR comes with new colour variants: plain Racing Red with Alpine white, Bluefire, Sapphire black metallic, BMW Motorrad Motorsport colours. The wheels painted in glossy black with the red spring in the central strut. The new supersports bike also has revised RR logo.

Optional accessories for the new BMW S1000RR include HP titanium exhaust system (with or without ABE) or the HP race data logger. Click here for the details (pdf).
