Named most beautiful motorcycle of the 2010 EICMA shows, the sexy 2013 MV Agusta Rivale 800 pictured above is powered by a 798cc engine based on the three-cylinder 675cc engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft that debuted on the MV Agusta F3 F3 and also used in Brutale 675. The engine deliveres 123.3 hp.
Unique both in design, performance, and absolute riding satisfaction. The MV Agusta Rivale 800 also features MVICS (MV Agusta’s Motor and Vehicle Integrated Control System) electronics package which includes ride-by-wire throttle, three engine maps and a custom default.
The Rivale 800’s front section is comprised of a steel trellis combined with a rear of two aluminium alloy plates. Other highlights include a digital multi-function display, LED headlamps and turn-signals that integrated into the retractable rear view mirrors, Marzocchi and Sachs suspension with adjustable compression and rebound damping, Brembo’s 320mm discs and four-piston radial calipers at the front and a 220mm disc mated to a twin-piston caliper at the back.
In Europe, the 2013 MV Agusta Rivale 800 is expected to arrive in dealerships in the second half of 2013 with a price of 10,990 euros or about US$13,969. No word on U.S. availability.
