As well as announced the 2013 model year of BMW K1600GT and BMW K1600GTL, BMW was also announcing the 2013 model year of its R1200R bike, which will come with two new metallic paint finishes: montego blue and magnesium beige (pictured).
Just like the 2013 BMW K1600GT and BMW K1600GTL, the BMW R1200R remain mechanically unchanged for 2013. It sports the BMW’s 1170cc ‘boxer’ twin engine that develops 110 horsepower and 119Nm of torque. ABS is now standard on all new BMW’s bikes. There’s also no upgrade for the R1200R’s steel tube chassis, Telelever (front) and Paralever (rear) suspension.
The new naked motorcycle with new colors will hit the dealerships in August.
