The 2013 BMW K1600GT and BMW K1600GTL remain mechanically unchanged. Both model only get new paint finishes, as well as LED headlamps and revised digital instrument panel that are available as optional features.
The 319kg BMW K1600GT is now available with new metallic paintworks, including dark graphite and montego blue (The paint finish Vermilion red metallic is no longer available), while the 348kg BMW K1600GTL now can be had with dark graphite metallic or damask red metallic colors (the paint finish Royal blue metallic is no longer available). Just like the previous models, the touring bikes are fitted with an adjustable traction control system and are still powered by the same 1600cc inline-six engine that delivers 160 horsepower and 175Nm of torque.
Other highlight features on BMW K1600GT and BMW K1600GTL include light alloy bridge-type frame, Duolever (front) and Paralever (rear) suspension, electronically adjustable suspension (ESA II), anti-lock brakes (ABS), adaptive headlights that compensate for pitch and banking, superb ergonomics. For 2013 model, the touring bike’s 5.7-inch TFT colour screen on the instrument panel now also has an optional digital speed display or the logo “6”.
The new bike with new paintjobs will be available from August this year.
