Even the production racer version of 2013 KTM Moto3 250 GPR will hit the dealerships in February next year, KTM has started accepting orders for its 250cc Moto3 World Championship. Each bike is priced at 45,000 euros (US$55,400). The order has been started on July 1st and ends on Oct. 1st, 2012.
The 2013 KTM Moto3 250 GPR will has the same specifications as the Moto3 bike. It sports the identical single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, but has up to 13,500 rpm rev limit compared to Moto3 bike’s 14,000 rpm and uses electronics inherited from the KTM RC8R instead of Dell’Orto electronic control unit. Oh, it also comes equipped with a quieter Akrapovic exhaust than a Moto3’s Akrapovic exhaust that screams out at a Moto3-limited 115 dB. Other “lower-spec” on the production racer includes Brembo brakes, WP suspension and OZ forged aluminum wheels.
According to the Company, the production racer will also be used in the 2013 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.
