Just like Suzuki, Aprilia has decided to come back to MotoGP this year. A season earlier than originally planned, Romano Albesiano, Aprilia racing manager, explains that “For us this will be a year of testing, development and in some ways even sacrifice, to be taken full advantage of as we look toward 2016 when we will be able to ride a real Aprilia prototype bike onto the track.”
The Aprilia Racing Team Gresini will compete for the 2015 MotoGP championship with the V4-engined Aprilia RS-GP MotoGP as their MotoGP bike, which is an evolution of the Aprilia ART project, and Veteran MotoGP racers Alvaro Bautista and Marco Melandri as their riders.
The Aprilia RS-GP MotoGP bikes come in black, red and silver color scheme, with #33 for Melandri and #19 for Bautista.
