Piaggio has announced the new 2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally ahead of its official debut at Intermont this Tuesday in Cologne.
The 2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally is the more adventure-focused version of the Aprilia Caponord 1200. It gets a bigger wire-spoked 19-inch front wheel (over the 17-inch on the base model) and a 17-inch rear wheel (remains unchanged), as well as a skid plate, crash bars, hard panniers, and auxiliary lighting.
All else is the same as the base Aprilia Caponord 1200, such as a twin-cylinder 90-degree 1200cc twin engine with twin-spark and fuel-injection, ride-by-wire, traction control, Aprilia Dynamic Damping, ABS, as well as a taller windscreen and a large 6.3 gallon fuel tank.
The 2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally is set to hit European dealerships in January next year. No word on its US availability. More details will be revealed on Sept. 30th.
