The brand new 2012 KTM 690 Duke will be raced in the European Junior Cup series this year. This fantastic street bike features reduced weight, increased power and comes with the great combination of top level racing components to provide the perfect competition platform for the talented young KTM – EJC racers.
This year, the European Junior Cup uses the 2012 690 Dukes for all riders. This Junior Cup series is open to riders between 14 – 19 years of age, and the races will be held at Assen, Monza, Misano, Aragon, Brno, Silverstone, Nurburgring and Magny Cours.
The brand new 2012 KTM 690 Duke weighs 140kg and is powered by 690cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected single-cylinder engine mated to six manual transmission which develops 79 horsepower. Its anti-hop hydraulically-operated APTC clutch and tubular space frame, made of chrome-molybdenum steel. The 2012 KTM 690 Duke also comes equipped with upgraded Brembo brakes, Akrapovic’s race-spec titanium-carbon exhaust system, KTM PowerParts airbox, fully adjustable WP suspension, a racing-standard oil drip tray and rigid foot pegs, lower handlebar and handlebar clamps, as well as 17-inch lightweight wheels from Marchesini wraped with 120/70 (front) and 160/70 (rear) Pirelli tyres.
