Kawasaki has announced the 2015 model year of its Z1000 streetfighter. For 2015, there is no significant changes. The 2015 Kawasaki Z1000 only receives new color scheme that combines Golden Blazed Green with Metallic Spark Black to create an aggressive motorcycle, complementing its “Sugomi” styling. The base 2015 Kawasaki Z1000 is priced at $11,999, the same MSRP as 2014.
As for quick review. The 2015 Kawasaki Z1000 is powered by a 1,043cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, 16-valve engine with intake cams and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a manual wet multi-disc clutch and a sealed chain final transmission. It produces 142 hp at 10,000 revs and a peak torque of 81.8 lb-ft at 7,300 rpm. Furthermore, its injection system uses 4 Keihin oval 38mm throttle bodies that features a dual throttle valve system for high power output with smoother, sensitive throttle response.
Other highlight features include fully adjustable 41mm inverted forks, a 4-into-2-pre-chamber-into-2 exhaust, LED turn signals and taillight, the Eco Riding light indicator, a special “Z” ignition key, a machined aluminum steering stem bolt, the intricate “Z” motif seat cover, and so on.
