British manufacturer CCM has announced that the Company will begin the process of homologating its all-new adventure bike, the CCM GP450, and will make it available in the U.S early 2015. The CCM GP450 began development five years ago and was launched in the UK last year, with the basic entry-level bike is priced at £7,995 or around $12,000. The bike is also available in Europe and Canada,
The CCM GP450 is a road legal, mid-size adventure bike powered by a 450cc 4-stroke single cylinder engine that is linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine delivers 40 Hp at 7000 rpm and 31.6 ft.lbs at 6500 rpm, and has a top speed of 90 mph.
The CCM GP450 Adventure weighs only 287 pounds dry, thanks to its Bond-Lite chassis which has a lighter-weight design, providing predictable flex and better handling. The all-new adventure bike is paired with a 47mm USD adjustable fork and Brembo brakes, as well as has a seat configuration with a height of 895cm and a 17 litre tank.
CCM also offers tons of accessories for the GP450, including additional front spot light, panniers, electronic suspension adjustment, a taller seat choice, and so on.
The CCM GP450 “allows you to expand your adventure and achieve the ability to truly tackle both off-road and on road terrain.”
