Triumph has updated its classic motorcycles for 2014, including Triumph Bonneville, Bonnevile T100, Scrambler and Thruxton. All of them return unchanged mechanically, but get cosmetic changes in order to keep the modern classics lineup fresh.
For 2014, the entry-level Triumph Bonneville is still powered by the same 865cc parallel twin, air-oil cooled engine mated to a five speed manual gearbox as the 2013 model, but gets a new machined cooling fin details on its engine barrel block and cylinder head, and solid black paint finish for the oil cooler lines, as well as revised megaphone silencers for a “more satisfying sound”. Furthermore, the 2014 Triumph Bonneville also receives a new pillion grab rail, a redesigned vinyl seat, a new fuel tank decal and three new color options: Lunar Silver, Phantom Black and Crystal White/Sapphire Blue.
Like the 2014 Bonneville, the 2014 Triumph Bonneville T100 also receives a redesigned exhaust system, but with additional chrome grab rail and chainguard, and its handle is chrome instead of black. The T100 has taller handlebar and larger 19-inch spoked wheels. Two new color options available: a new Jet Black/Cranberry Red and a white/gold inspired by the 1964 Triumph Bonneville. Triumph has also introduced a new blacked-out T100 model which is distinguished by black-finished wheel rims, hubs, handlebars, RSU springs, mudguard stays, mirrors, engine finish and grab rail.
The 2014 Triumph Thruxton gets similar engine and exhaust treatments as the Bonnevilles, but adds a new chrome chain guard and a color-matched fly screen. The 2014 café racer-infuenced Triumph Thruxton can be had in either Phantom Black or Brooklands Green.
The 2014 Triumph Scrambler also gets a blacked out treatment for oil handlebars, wheels, hubs, cooler lines and rear master cylinder reservoir cover, as well as a new seat with a revised Triumph logo, and a clear anodized bash plate. Two new color options have been introduced: Matt Pacific Blue and Lunar Silver/Diablo Red.
New color options above are only available in the UK. The 2014 Triumph Bonneville, Bonnevile T100, Scrambler and Thruxton are now available in the UK. UK pricing and US availability are yet to be announced.
