Piaggio Indonesia, PT, has announced that the Vespa S 150ie 3V 150cc scooter will be available in Indonesia starting next month, joining the Vespa LX 150ie. It will comes in five different colors: orange, matte blue, red, white, and matte grey, and will be priced at IDR 28.25 millions.
Like the LX 150ie 3V, the Vespa S 150ie 3V comes with free wheel electric starter and is powered by the same 1-cylinder, 3-valve (two valves in and one valve out) engine with a displacement of 150 cc, delivering 8.7 kw and 12 Nm of torque. The new scooter also comes equipped with a new crankshaft, and roller rockers to reduce friction.
Visually, the Vespa S has sportier design than the LX 150ie 3V. It has square design headlamp instead of classic round headlamp, but keeps the Italian classic’s swank styling. The S 150ie 3V also gets new design details such as a new horn cover as well as revamped instrument panel graphics.
