Peugeot has unveiled the 2016 model year of its iconic Speedfight 50cc scooter was first launched in 1997. The 2016 Peugeot Speedfight 4 is expected to hit the UK dealerships this summer, and will be priced at £1899 OTR.
For 2016, the fourth generation of Speedfight gets a new look, a new engine and higher specification. Inspired by the Peugeot Exalt concept car, the 2016 Speedfight comes with twin optical 35W headlights, separated by the distinctive grille, restyled instrument console, micro bulb crystal turn indicators, and aviation-style fuel cap. The dashboard now is equipped with USB and 12V sockets and a RAM X-Grip smartphone holder, plus features an on-board digital multifunction computer. Read more
Peugeot has announced that its retro-styled scooters, Django Sport and Evasion, are now available in 50cc version. Scooters for adult, the two models which were available in 125cc and 150cc motors, can be ridden on an AM licence, meaning anyone aged 16 or over are allowed to ride it.
Django name was taken from Django Reinhardt, the legendary Belgium-born Jazz guitarist. The new Django 50cc scooter sports a 2-stroke engine which meets modern emissions regulations and expectations for fuel economy.
The Django Sport 50cc features LED indicators and rear lights, a classic analogue speedometer dial with an LCD screen display to set a trip computer, a lockable dual compartment glove box with a 12-volt power socket inside for charging your devices on the go, alloy pillion footrests, a chrome hand-grip, and a helmet-size luggage bay under the seat.
