The Kawasaki Concours 14, which known in some markets as the 1400 GTR, is back for 2015 with some upgrades such as a more-ergonomic rear seat, revised ABS settings, a new electrically adjustable windshield with three-position vent, a new rear luggage base and a new exhaust heat shield.
Mechanically, the 2015 Kawasaki Concours 14 remains unchanged from the previous model. Like the Kawasaki ZX-14R, it is still powered by a 1352cc inline-four engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) for economy and fluid engine response. However, the engine now gets a revised first gear ratio for easier starting from a standstill and low-speed maneuvers. Other enhancements include a new steering stem seal for lighter steering at low speed and a new stiffer rear suspension for enhanced carrying capacity.
Visually, the 2015 Kawasaki Concours 14’s instrument panel now has silver bezels.
Designed as a motorcycle for long-distance touring, the 2015 Kawasaki Concours 14 is equipped with high-end technologies including KTRC traction control, the latest K-ACT ABS brakes, a Fuel Economy Assistance Mode, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), heated grips, hard saddlebags, shaft drive and a KIPASS keyless starting technology. Optional Touring Seat available.
The 2015 Kawasaki Concours 14 is available in two color options: Candy Lime Green and Metallic Spark Black. MSRP is $15,499, with a three-year limited warranty.
