Alongside the Dragster 800 RR, MV Agusta also has unveiled the 2015 RR-version model of the Dragster’s cousin, the MV Agusta Brutale 800. Like the 2015 Dragster 800 RR, the 2015 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR sports the same 798cc three-cylinder engine that has been boosted in power from 123.4 hp at 11,600 rpm and 59.7 lb-t at 8,600 rpm to 138 hp at 13,100 rpm and 63.4 ft-lb at 10,100 rpm, thanks to its redesigned airbox and a higher flow exhaust silencer along with a second fuel injector for each of the three cylinders on the engine.
The 2015 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR also gets a shape-modified fuel tank to accommodate changes to the airbox, a new hydraulic chain tensioner, refined electronically-assisted quickshifter, the second-iteration of MV Agusta’s Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System, and 8-level traction control.
Like the Dragster RR, braking duties handled by twin front brake discs with radial-mount four-piston Brembo calipers, and two-piston calipers with 220mm rear disc. The Bosch 9 Plus anti-lock brake system is standard. For suspension, there are fully-adjustable 43mm Marzocchi upside-down forks with a diamond-like carbon coating and Sachs’s rear shock with adjustable rebound and compression damping and spring preload.
Compared to the Dragster RR, the Brutale 800 RR better riding position.
Other features include a tubular steel trellis with a lightweight aluminium swingarm, reshaped seat, LED taillight and a CRC steering damper.
The 2015 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR is available in two color options: Pearl Shock Red and Pearl Ice White with a black trellis frame or Metallic Avio Grey and Carbon Metallic Black with a red frame.
In Europe, the 2015 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR is priced at €13,980. US pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
