Royal Enfield has unveiled the 2013 Bullet 500 UCE in India. The 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 UCE variant is powered by a carbureted engine and is cheaper than the EFI variant (fuel injection system).
The 2013 Bullet 500 UCE is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, carburetted version of the 499cc UCE engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. While EFI version can generate 27.2Bhp of power at 5250 RPM and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4000rpm, the UCE model is only good for 26.1Bhp at 5,100rpm and 40.9Nm of torque at 3,800rpm.
Mr Shaji Koshy, Senior Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) Royal Enfield said “The Bullet 500 is a much awaited model and while designing the bike for the Indian market we worked with the preferences of our special Bullet-loving audience here. Hence, the Bullet 500 comes with a 500 cc carbureted UCE, a powerful torque that offers better and very accessible power”. The 2013 Bullet 500 ECU model also comes with numerous enhancements including a 280 mm front disc brake with 2-piston callipers, gas filled shock absorbers and electric start.
Visually, the 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 UCE will be offered only in new forest green color and is distinguished by re-designed winged badge in special silver and gold dual tone on tank, tiger eyed headlamp for great visibility during night riding, vintage tail lamp, and one piece long twin seat along with new Pillion Grab-rail with a cushion end. The Bullet 500 UCE rides on 19-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel wrapped in MRF Zappr tyres.
All other specifications remain the same as the Classic 500. In India, the 2013 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 UCE is priced at Rs. 1,53,855/- (OTR, Delhi).
