2016 BMW C650 Sport and C650 GT

BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2016 model year of its two big scooters, the 2016 BMW C650 Sport and the 2016 C650 GT – they were C600 Sport and C600 GT. For 2016, the C-series maxi-scooters get a new CVT set-up with optimized clutch engagement, new suspension settings, and a revised powertrain. The Company has changed the scooters’s name from C600 to C650 – maybe it is because both scooters are powered by 647cc engine.

Both 2016 BMW C650 Sport and C650 GT are still powered by the same 647cc parallel-twin that provides 59 hp at 7500 rpm, but it was revised to meet new Euro4 emission standards. The exhaust has also been updated to meet the new European ECE R41-04 noise regulations. Both scooters use a twin-canister exhaust design but compared to the GT version, the Sport’s exhaust rises up at a sharper angle towards the tail. Read more

2016 BMW S1000RR Black Storm Metallic and Racing Red Non-metallic

BMW Motorrad has launched the 2016 model year of its motorcycle lineup including the 2016 BMW S1000RR, the 2016 BMW F800GT, the 2016 BMW R1200GS and 2016 BMW R1200GS Adventure, the 2016 BMW R1200RT, the 2016 BMW R nineT, the 2016 BMW S1000R, and the 2016 BMW K1600GT/ GTL/ GTL Exclusive. Some models receive minor updates and some only gets livery update.

The 2016 BMW S1000RR will be offered in a new black storm metallic/ racing red non-metallic paintjob.

The 2016 BMW F800GT also only gets new color option, monolith metallic matt/ sapphire black metallic, replacing the existing dark graphite metallic. Read more

Orlando Bloom Rides a Customised BMW S1000R by DEM

Orlando Bloom has long been a motorcycle fan. He has been spotted several times riding motorcycles such as the Norton Commando 961 SE, the Ducati 848 StreetFighter, the BMW R1200GS, and a number of BMW models including old classics.

Recently, the Hollywood movie has Deus Ex Machina (DEM) to customize its BMW S1000R. The work was done by his good friend Michael ‘Woolie’ Woolaway, Head of the Deus Ex Machina custom shop in California, USA.    As you can see from the picture, the result is a stunning classic 4 cylinder bike.
